How cute is this?!? Taken Monday while Reese was hanging out with her friends Maeva, Hamsa and Jeff. Thank you guys for taking such good care of our wee one for the day- and for showing her such a good time. I think we might have to get ourselves one of these kitchen towers.

When things get quiet....

Our little angels are sure learning how to find trouble these days... you know when you don't hear them for a while that you need to go looking and see what they have gotten themselves into. I think this is where the saying "double trouble" comes from - it's not that it is so hard with two, but they encourage each other to create mischief!

T & R are water babies- anytime they can find water to play in - they are all over it! Bath time, water bowls, the water jug, and as you see - muddy water in a bucket from the back yard. yuck. They look so pleased with themselves. :)

New Toys and Favorite Foods?

With all of the rain we have been having lately, we have been forced to come up with some new rainy day activities inside.

We found this great slide on Craig.slist - now only if T & R can figure out how to share it!

Finally- I think we have found a new favorite food! :)

Hope everyone is enjoying this sunny day!

Please Don't Divorce My Family

Honestly, today I woke up a little sad. Listening to NPR and the debate about whether or not the California Supereme Court will overturn Prop 8. It makes me sad that people through out my state do not believe in my marraige, it makes me sad that they have the right, the ability, to deny my love for my wife, and more importantly it makes me mad that there is the possibility that MY marriage could be invalidated.

The ironic part- we are the most suburban, dare I say almost traditional folks around. A mini van, two kids and a dog- and this is what you are fighting again? Isn't it what you should be fighting for? A family that was created with integrity, and intention - and based on a foundaiton or love, respect and dedication to its success?

I do not see how this is anybody's right.

I love my life, I love my wife, I love my kids- and I stand proudly by the other 18,000 couples who married and who share this same commitment to each other and to the institution of marriage.

If you have not seen it already- check out the video below from the Courage Campaign.

Best Little Faces Around...

This is what happens after a bath.... talk about bad bath hair!

Melissa finally bought a brush that we can use - and we blow dry their hair every night when they get out of the tub- don't want them to get cold!

Finally- Just wanted to show off - it is possible to get a good picture of Tanner. One where he is smiling, no tongue sticking out - or odd facial expression! Priceless...

Meal Time Entertainment

Tanner and Reese show off some of their favorite tricks. They are getting pretty good at their baby signs - they regularly use between 10 -15 signs now. Not only are their signing more, but they are starting to 'talk' more and more. Now, we just have to try and understand what they are saying!

PS- Tanner officially took his first steps last Wednesday (2/25) - while he is not walking regularly yet, he is on his way!
