Impromptu Snow Weekend

This past weekend we had the opportunity to hang out and celebrate with some friends of our in Tahoe. Four adults, four toddlers - and a whole lot of fun. We were luckily able to borrow our friends car (who has 4x4) and take off on Friday morning to head to the mountains. The kids did remarkably well on the drive, considering it took us almost 7.5 hours to get there due to the snow storm that came early. We received almost 10+ inches of snow while we were there!

The house was perfect - snow off the back deck that allowed everyone go out for how ever long (or short) as they wanted.

Reese was having fun, Tanner- not always so sure of something so new.

On the way home we decided to break up the drive and visit with some family in Sacramento. Tanner & Reese were thrilled to hang out with their cousins, and even were allowed to cross the street while holding Laurens' hand. They were thrilled...

Resemblance?

Pretty good look alike? eh?

Vote for your favorite duo -

http://www.scsextra.com/specials/photocon/vote.php?groupId=71&showImage=5194

So I had to do it- our local paper, the Santa Cruz Sentinel, is having a photo contest for twins, triplets and more... so of course I had to enter our dynamic duo. You can vote every day, even multiple times in a day, up until March 10th. Our pictures is called "Walking Into the Wild" -

So vote for Tanner & Reese. I have no idea what we would win, except the satisfaction of knowing our kids are that cute, and right now they have twin cars winning - and that is just wrong. So vote!

Walking Into the Wild

Ballerina in Training

So we did it- we enrolled them in a Mommy and Me Ballerina Class - Reese is besides herself with glee, Tanner... he likes the tutus. The whole experience was hysterical. We were there with our dear friends Ozzie and Dylan (also twins) - and the teacher - it was like an episode of Seinfeld. So excuse the somewhat random photos, as we were not really 'allowed' to take photos except the last 10 minutes of class. Just image 18+, 2 year olds running around, with tutus and wands and very loud music- you can imagine the chaos that followed.

Can't wait to do it again next week.

Tutu #1 - Spinning

Tanner: a boy and his tutu- vogue.

Oh dear me - this picture just oozes personality - my little diva. Tutu #2

Reese and Ozzie- so cute, and so awkward. (ozzie's tutu matched his shoes)

Tanner: "WTF you lookin' at? Haven't you ever seen a boy with a magic wand?"

Lemos Farm

So yesterday we had the opportunity to meet some of our favorite folks- both big and small at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay. Tanner & Reese were super excited to hang out with their Cousin Gabby, visit the horses, ride the train - what more could a toddler ask for!

Choo Choo! This is all they wanted - a ride on the train through the tunnel!

At first I wasn't sure if Tanner & Reese were going to go for a Pony ride. But after Gabby was brave and tried it first- they were both quick to follow. Tanner rode a horse named Cookie-

Look at these future Cow-pokes.

Reese and Gina - and Cherokee.

Following the farm we had lunch at the Main Street Diner in Half Moon Bay and then took a little trip to the local feed store- they had chickens, Tanner was excited. The nice man that worked there even brought one out so the kids could pet it, not sure the bird liked it too much, but the three kiddos - priceless.

It was a great day all around- fun to catch up, watch all three cousins run around (I am sure Dylan will be soon to follow!), and everyone slept soundly all the way home!
