Children's Discovery Museum

So....I thought it was supposed to stop raining, it's MAY! Yesterday we were supposed to head off to a May Day celebration, but the weather had other ideas in mind. Instead we packed up the car, picked up grandpa and headed out to San Jose's Children's Discovery Museum. The kids had a GREAT time.

Rookey Mom Mistake #1- allowing your children to enter water play area as the first stop of the day. They LOVED it - we almost didn't make it to any other part of the museum, and they ended up soaking wet.

This is a great museum- It was so fun to watch the kids discover and try out so many new things. I love the curiosity that comes with this age. Thanks Grandpa for coming along on a great adventure - the kids are still talking about their favorite parts of the day.

Portland

I am a little late with these photos - but in April we made a quick trip up to Portland to visit some of our favorite folks. We went to celebrate Baby Joe turning 1, visit Auntie Katie and get a chance to escape while the house turned into a construction zone and we did some work on our office.

So to escape the construction I took two toddlers alone on the plane to Portland. This would not have been possible without the great support from Katie and Weston - Thanks for making it all possible!

We had a great low, key trip- went to the zoo, the tulip festival, park, farmers market- a great time was had by all!

Tanner giving everyone a ride. So funny the number of times people would comment - he looks like he should be from California, or a surfer.

bathtime!

The Tulip Festival was amazing! It is a perfect spot for toddler to run around - a cow train, beautiful flower to run around in, and a play ground - what more could you want?

Reese was not feeling the flowers this day.

We love you Auntie Katie!

Mother's Day Present

This was the best present any mama could ask for. Seriously, could it get any cuter?
