so amidst all the craziness Tanner & Reese had their first visit to the dentist. All the books keep saying that they should have had their first visit sometime within the first year- hard to believe, right? Well, we finally decided it was time- and base don some recommendations from friends we took them to see a pediatric dentist, Dr. Jackson in Aptos.

Prior to the visit we tried to prep the kids as much as possible. We read books about the dentist from the library, we talked about it while brushing our teeth (that's what the dentist does to us, talk while brushing?) and then we watched videos on youtube. All n' all- I have to say they did pretty well.

But the dentist has changed since I was a kid- they had TV on the ceiling! The kids just got the put earphones on, lean back and open wide while they got their teeth cleaned! Both came out with raving dental reviews - looks like they hopefully got my teeth. Such big kids.

Tumbling Tots

Recently we found a new gym for toddlers and pre-school age kiddos. They had an open gym last weekend, so we thought we would check it out. They had a GREAT time -

The teacher Straw-'Berry' was great with the kids and let them jump on the trampoline, play in the foam pit, walk on the balance beam, hang from the rings - it was great. Just what the kids needed with these rainy days we have had.
