Rainy Day Fun

This past week we have had some crazy weather here in Santa Cruz. So one afternoon we had our friends over to have some fund and try our hands at painting!

Fishy Friends

This afternoon we met up with some friends at the Seymore Center at Long Marine Lab. First Tuesday of every month is free- so this was a low-key way for Tanner to get his fish-fix, and to hang out with some friends.

First Day of (Pre) School

I admit I (or Tanner) do not deal well with change.

Today was the first day Tanner & Reese went to their new pre-school. I was a nervous wreck. They - did alright. But with the start of a new school - comes the obligatory photos in front of the mantel. So without further ado - my 'big kids'





Of course once we got there- they blended right in. They found their cubbies, sat during circle time, played outside - and they even napped. Phew!




I am so proud of my little ones- and even more in awe of how 'big' they are becoming.

Hill Ranch Weekend

Last weekend was our annual escape to the Novato Hills. My good friend Wendy and her family owns a piece of property up in the hills there - and every year the ladies take over for Women's Weekend. It has become a gathering of old friends and new- a little mini-college reunion of sorts. It is a great opportunity to visit, and re-visit all of the sorted stories of our college days. (Some things I will NEVER live down!)

It is a great get away, this year made even more special as we watched Tanner and Reese run all over - enjoy playing with the other 'kids', and explore. We can not wait to do it again next year!

We were hanging out in Capitola the other day - when we took this video. How did they loose their pants you ask? Well - Reese being the pipsqueak that she is was walking along, when he pants just fell down to her ankles. "Uh-Oh!" She said- kicked her pants of and just kept walking along. So of course Tanner had to take his off too...

Baby Joe

This week we have been lucky enough to have a visit from my best friend Katie and her family from Portland. They moved a while back, so we do not get to see each other as often as either of us would like. But this week- Reese and Tanner got to visit with their friend Casey (2.5yrs) , and Baby Joe (6 months). Reese was especially enamored with Joe- she'll tell you in the video below. :)


We love you Katie- and can't wait to see you again soon!
