Fashion Icons

Our little fashion diva and her many looks...

And not to be forgotten - our hansom little man.

Duuuude...

one for me, and one for me....

So this past weekend we decided to try and go berry picking. I have wanting to go for a while now, and with a severe lack of sleep we thought this would be a great way to get everyone out of the house for some fun.

So this is how you go berry picking with two toddlers...

First you have to find the perfect wagon and basket...

Then mom has to show them how to find and taste test the perfect berry...

Tanner was a quick learner...

You have to stop every now and then for a rest, a drink, and pull the mud off your shoes.

Then you must learn how to conceal the evidence...(Reese is still working on this one)

While we did end up coming home with SOME berries...we definitely had our fill while we were picking too! Everyone came home with pink fingers, full bellies and tasty treats!

Finally- Part 3...Rhode Island

And our trip continues...

We left Brooklyn to pick up Christy at Penn Station and then we were off to Coventry in Rhode Island. We were able to spend the last leg of our trip with Melissa's family. Thank you Auntie Kim and Uncle Eddie for allowing us to invade your space, and for Christy for making the trek down to come and visit for a few days.

While we were there it was a whirwind of activity. The first day we went to the Southwick Zoo in MA. It was the perfect size too for Tanner & Reese. They loved it...mostly. Tanner was a little timid, Reese on the other hand...

Our navigator helping us find our way through the park. Turtles....this way

Deer! The girl was not afraid of anything - unless it was the Rhino. :)

Can you see the Turtle in the background?

Tired faces at the end of the day.

The next day we thought we would go to the beach - of course it was the one day it rained. alot. So we had the beach to ourselves - and had a good time.

We even picked up some fresh lobsters....and I had my first lesson in breaking down a whole lobster. I was not too sure -

Happy Faces...

Phew! Then we caught our flight home. It was a great trip- and such a great opportunity to see friends and family. We miss you all and am so grateful to everyone for helping to make this trip possible for us. We could not do it with out you. Hope to see everyone soon.

Stay tuned for more adventures...

New York Here We Come.... Part Two

And our trip continues... We rented a car and drove from D.C. to New York to hang out with Auntie Cori. If you have ever seen Cori's apartment, we were not too sure how we were all going to fit- but actually it was not to bad. In part to Cori's friend Meg - who let us come down stairs each night after Tanner and Reese were asleep to hang out, and watch her T.V.! Thanks Meg.

Tanner catching Auntie Cori up on how things work...

There was this great park a few blocks away that we played at each morning - it was perfect!

We spent one day in the city, central park, FAO Schwartz - it was beautiful out. We got to catch up with some friends and Tanner & Reese got to experience their first carousel ride!

The next day we went to the Brooklyn's Children Discovery Museum - Brett and Shelly met us there - it was a great place. Some of the exhibits were a bit too big but that did not stop Tanner & Reese from having a good time!

Thanks for coming out to meet us Brett and Shelly!

Tanner: Um - Can you build that tower again please so I can knock it over again?

Finally- the last day we went out to Coney Island. We got the opportunity to walk around, play in the sand, and ride (get beat up by) the cyclone. Then off to the Chelsea Market to meet up with some of Cori's friends and see the new home of the Food Network.

The last day we were in the city - the weather finally came. With rain we were not sure what to do with the the kids before we headed out of town - what was a better option than a short stop at Chuck E. Cheese.
Stay tuned - Rhode Island here we come! Part three to follow...

First Haircut

So we heard from many of you that Tanner's hair was getting a wee bit on the mullet side. So we didn't want to cut off all of his great curls - we did want to give him a little style. So without further ado - the new clean cut Tanner.

East Coast Journey Part 1

Phew! So it has taken a week to catch up and figure out what end is up- but I think we have finally recovered from our two week trip to the East Coast. It started off a bit rough as the two weeks prior to the trip, Tanner and Reese took turns suffering through Hand, Foot and Mouth. It was a tough few weeks- but once we all got to D.C....things started looking up.

Because of H,F&M - Tanner and Tracey flew out two days before Melissa and Reese. Phew! Tracey had a conference to attend in D.C. for a few days- so we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Aunt Lil and Tracey's Cousin Jen for helping to manage our duo. They spent the week at the National Zoo, swimming, playing in the backyard, and touring the National Aquarium and the Smithsonian American History Museum. We had a great time - and had the opportunity to catch up with some great family and friends.

Warning - LOTS OF PICTURES TO FOLLOW

Reese Finally starting to feel better...

We had such a great time- having Tanner and Reese hang out with some older kiddo's it is amazing how quickly they change. They are growing up fast! Thank you to everyone who helped make our D.C. trip so great! We appreciate all the support....

Stay tuned...East Coast Trip Part 2 soon to follow
